Typhlosis Beluga Greeting Card

This unique black and white card features a drawing of a beluga whale. The word "typhlosis" means blindness, which is how the outer shape of the whale's body was drawn — without seeing. The drawing on the front of this card was inspired by historical illustrations of whales. These renderings by early naturalists now look strange: morphing between fact and fiction, creature and monster.
